All heavy-duty (HD) sizes come with soft rubber removable bumper pads to protect furniture and may be removed or drilled through for permanent, fixed mounting. All medium-duty (MD) sizes come with hard plastic bumper pads that may also be removed or drilled through. All heavy-duty (HD) sizes have an internal muffler piece that mutes most noise during rotation, yet this design is not as ?free turning? as lazy susan turntables without the internal muffler. All medium-duty (MD) sizes rotate more easily than the heavy-duty versions, yet are not as quiet during rotation. Loading weight on the MD turntable will reduce the rotation noise as will placing a wood or glass top on the turntable. Our heavy-duty lazy susan aluminum turntables have single-row ball bearings for supporting very heavy radial loads - load capacities from 300 to 450 lbs. depending on size. Our medium-duty lazy susan turntables have load capacities from 100 to 260 lbs. depending on size. Both types use steel ball bearings as rolling support elements to maintain the separation between moving parts and reduce rotational friction to support radial and axial loads and are machined from durable, corrosion resistant aluminum. Our lazy susan turntables are packaged with Styrofoam to protect shipping damage and are ready to use. If lubrication is needed we recommend a good quality spray lubricant or machine oil is used.
