Cir-Polarizing (Circular Polarizing) filters allow you to remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass etc. They also enable colours to become more saturated and appear clearer, with better contrast. This effect is often used to increase the contrast and saturation in blue skies and white clouds. HOYA's polarizing filters do not affect the overall colour balance of a shot. NDx8 Filter Information Neutral Density (ND) filters help reduce the amount of light entering the lens, but have no affect on colour balance. The ND 8 filter has a filter factor of 3-stops, so you are able to slow down the shutter speed or increase the aperture by 3-stops. This standard NDx8 filter is un-coated has a 5mm thick frame and is made in the Philippines. The main uses are: 1. To enable slower shutter speeds so as to emphasize movement, such as waterfalls, clouds, the sea, automobiles, etc. 2.
