The Hioki 3030-10 HiTester analog multimeter is an average-sensing, manual-ranging meter for measuring voltage, resistance, and current in electrical testing applications. The meter comes with a set of detachable test leads. This average-sensing, or average-responding, meter provides accurate readings when measuring linear loads, such as standard induction motors and incandescent lights, where the current or voltage has an undistorted waveform. It is a manual-ranging meter that requires the operator to choose the appropriate operating range for the property being measured. The battery tester feature determines the amount of charge remaining in 1.5V batteries. A thermistor probe (sold separately) can be connected to the meter to take temperature measurements. The meter can also test the functionality of LED lights. A 0.5-amp/250V fuse is installed to help protect the operator from electric shock due to transient voltage.
